Sharing Ideas Close to Home

On 24 June, I had the pleasure of presenting at the Allied Health Collective and Sovereign Radiology Education & Networking Symposium in Ballarat.

My presentation, "The Clinician's Conundrum," explored one of the greatest challenges facing modern healthcare professionals; helping people make sense of persistent pain in an increasingly complex world. We discussed contemporary pain science, the role of Essential Pain Facts (EPFs) in shaping recovery, and how clinicians can communicate with empathy while remaining grounded in the latest evidence.

The morning brought together an outstanding group of allied health professionals, providing an opportunity to share ideas, learn from one another, and strengthen the connections that ultimately benefit the people we care for. It was particularly rewarding to see the level of engagement and discussion around contemporary pain education, rehabilitation, and the importance of helping people move beyond outdated biomedical explanations.
